What's the plot of your novel this year (If you have a plot! If not, what shape of a plot is your novel going towards?)
Just post about all the plot stuff here!
I had kind of a basic plot but I'm kind of running out of ideas at the moment. Haha.

Seeing as this hasn't had a reply yet, I'll set the ball rolling...  So mine so far is about this crazy ass woman who is a compulsive cheater, and has many affairs behind her husband's back. She is not a very nice woman...! That's a basic plot synopsis, but it seems to be rapidly turning into Fifty Shades of Grey, so I must pull it back from the brink of oblivion ASAP. What's everyone else's plots about? |

My plot is fairly hazy at the moment..I have two perspectives so far, one of whom is a really unreliable narrator. It's kind of working on the idea of a world where all choice is predetermined for some people.

Mine's set in a world where omnipotency is achievable, but only through extreme effort and sacrifice. It's about a boy who tries to become a god to overthrow the corrupt god who created his world. The closer he gets to achieving his goal, the more he chooses to leave his humanity behind. Still a lot to work out...

Probably something I'd pick up if I saw it in the book store. My novel is kind of science-fiction/post-apocalyptic... except not really. It's set in the future after aliens have landed on earth and their landing basically created massive natural disasters that wiped out entire cities. So because of setbacks earth has kind of backtracked a little and these "aliens" are either held in science facilities to be experimented on or sold to "alien zoos" or "alien circuses." I have 2 main characters - one alien in the circus and another cooped up in a science facility. Still working on what's actually going to happen to them though! |
